What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are individual lashes made of silk or synthetic mink. They range in length and diameter. These lashes are attached one-by-one to your natural lash with a specially formulated lash adhesive. Custom lash extensions are a meticulous process that require the skill of a well trained and fully certified lash artist.
How long will my lash extensions last?
Lash extensions will last according to your natural lash cycle. A normal shed cycle is typically 30-45 days and you can lose anywhere from 3-5 lashes per day. If properly cared for, your lash extensions can last up to 4 weeks. We recommend coming in every 2-3 weeks for lash fills to maintain a full and beautiful looking set – similar to getting your nails done.
Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
No! Each extension is affixed to a single natural lash which grows out and sheds as it matures. The adhesive is formulated to create a solid bond which doesn’t harm your lashes as it gently cures to them. Your extensions will feel weightless and comfortable. It is possible to damage your natural lashes if you are having them applied by an untrained, uncertified lash artist who isn’t adhering to strict guidelines required to keep your lashes safe.
Which set should I choose?
The different sets vary depending on how many natural lashes you have and how full of a look you’d like. A light set takes sixty minutes and roughly 50-60 lashes are applied per eye. A medium set is about 90 minutes and roughly 70-80 lashes are applied. A full set takes 130 minutes and 90-100 lashes are applied.
What is the difference between classic lashes and volume?
Classic lashes are the technique of applying one individual lash to your natural lash. Volume is the creation of a handmade lash fan ranging from 2d-5d and applying this to your natural lash. Classic lashes enhance your natural lashes while volume add’s to what you already have.
What to expect at my first appointment?
Please do not drink caffeine before your lash appointment – doing so may cause your eyelids to twitch and shake. This is a relaxing spa type service, so plan to relax. You are welcome to listen to headphones with music, books-on-tape or to even to nap your appointment away. Prepare yourself for a relaxing beauty transformation.
